“WHO KILLED JFK?” Michael Flynn Reveals…

Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, the decorated three-star general who served as President Trump’s first national security adviser, has once again put his name behind one of the most explosive claims in American political history: that President John F. Kennedy was not murdered by a lone gunman acting alone in Dallas but was instead assassinated through the involvement of rogue elements operating within the United States government’s own intelligence apparatus.

Flynn has been consistent on this point for years, and his renewed comments arrive at a moment when the federal government itself is finally taking concrete steps to pull back the curtain on more than six decades of secrecy surrounding the case. President Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to accelerate the declassification and release of records tied to the assassinations of President Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a long overdue move that Flynn and many other Americans across the political spectrum have demanded for years.

Flynn’s public position is rooted in his own extraordinary personal experience with the machinery of the American national security state. As a highly decorated thirty-three-year military veteran and former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Flynn found himself charged with lying to the FBI over a routine phone call with the Russian ambassador during the presidential transition in 2017. That case, which nearly destroyed his career and reputation, was ultimately dropped by the Department of Justice itself, which acknowledged there had been no “legitimate investigative basis” for targeting him in the first place. Flynn later received a full pardon.

Having lived through what he describes as a coordinated campaign by intelligence and law enforcement agencies to destroy him politically, Flynn has drawn a direct line between his own experience and what he believes happened to Kennedy in November 1963. In a lengthy documentary chronicling his ordeal, Flynn stated plainly that “we’ve gone from a physical assassination of a president of the United States, to a character assassination of a national security adviser,” a line that succinctly captures his worldview: that unaccountable elements inside America’s intelligence agencies have, for decades, been willing to eliminate political threats by whatever means necessary, whether through a bullet in Dallas or a manufactured criminal case in Washington.

Flynn is far from alone in holding this view, and it is worth remembering that skepticism of the official Warren Commission narrative is not some fringe position confined to internet conspiracy forums. Polling conducted over the decades has consistently shown that a majority of the American public does not believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted entirely alone. The House Select Committee on Assassinations, a congressional body that conducted its own extensive investigation in the late 1970s, concluded that acoustic evidence suggested two shooters were present in Dealey Plaza, and that the assassination was likely the product of a conspiracy, even as it stopped short of blaming any specific U.S. government agency.

That congressional committee did conclude that neither the CIA nor any other American intelligence agency had been officially involved, a finding that has never fully satisfied researchers who point to decades of documented CIA hostility toward Kennedy over his handling of the Bay of Pigs failure, his refusal to authorize further military action against Cuba, and his public vow to “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds” after the Bay of Pigs debacle. Whatever one makes of the ultimate conclusion, it is simply a matter of historical record that senior CIA and military figures viewed Kennedy as a serious obstacle to their preferred Cold War strategy in the final months of his life.

Flynn’s comments should be understood within this broader historical context, not dismissed reflexively as the ravings of a disgraced figure, as some in the legacy media have been quick to do. Flynn has repeatedly argued that the same institutional culture that he believes was capable of eliminating a sitting president in 1963 has continued to operate largely unaccountable in the decades since, weaponizing agencies like the FBI, the CIA, and the Justice Department against political figures who threaten entrenched interests. He has pointed specifically to his own prosecution, the Russia collusion investigation that consumed the first years of Trump’s presidency, and what he describes as ongoing efforts by career bureaucrats to undermine elected leadership as evidence of a continuing pattern.

It is worth noting that this is not a uniquely partisan concern. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who went on to serve in the Trump administration, has for years publicly expressed his own conviction that his uncle’s assassination involved elements of the CIA, a position that drew coverage across the political spectrum precisely because it came from within the Kennedy family itself. When a member of America’s most storied Democratic political dynasty voices the same fundamental skepticism as a retired Army general and Trump ally, it becomes considerably harder to dismiss the underlying concern as mere right-wing paranoia.

The renewed push for transparency has real institutional backing in Washington today. Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida has been leading a bipartisan Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, which has committed to interviewing firsthand witnesses of the assassination and has traveled to Dallas to gather testimony ahead of planned hearings. Luna has also indicated that physicians who treated Kennedy at Parkland Memorial Hospital, whose accounts of the president’s wounds have long been cited by researchers as inconsistent with the official single-bullet theory, may be called to testify.

Just weeks before Flynn’s most recent comments, the FBI disclosed that it had discovered roughly 2,400 previously unreleased documents connected to the Kennedy assassination, a startling admission given that the files were supposedly fully accounted for decades ago under the JFK Records Act of 1992. The bureau said it is now working to transfer those newly discovered documents to the National Archives, though it remains unclear what, if anything, they will reveal once made public. The mere existence of thousands of undisclosed pages more than sixty years after the fact lends considerable weight to arguments like Flynn’s that the full truth has never actually been told to the American people.
