According to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:30 in the afternoon to the 6700 block of Yount Street in Yountville after a witness reported a hit and run in progress. Newly released financial disclosure forms show that Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor accepted more than four thousand dollars in gifted concert tickets last summer, the latest revelation to fuel ongoing questions about the ethical standards, or lack thereof, governing the nation’s highest court. The disclosure, made public Monday alongside forms from seven of her colleagues, showed that Sotomayor received tickets valued at $4,333 from Rimas Entertainment, the record label representing Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny.
According to the disclosure paperwork, the tickets were provided for a concert Sotomayor and unidentified guests attended while she was on what the filing describes as a private trip to Puerto Rico in August of last year. Read more →
