Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge held a disgraceful press conference Monday where she attacked social media users and journalists for sharing video of the brutal mob attack, claiming their coverage “distorts the content of what actually happened and makes our job more difficult.” Instead of condemning the savage beating of innocent Americans, the embattled chief scolded citizens for doing the media’s job and exposing the horrific violence that occurred under her watch.

Four White Officers Sue Chief for Systematic Discrimination

Chief Theetge is currently facing a federal lawsuit filed May 19 by Captain Robert Wilson and Lieutenants Patrick Caton, Gerald Hodges, and Andrew Mitchell, who allege “intentional and discriminatory practices” against white male officers. The lawsuit claims Theetge has “actively and systemically undertaken efforts to promote, advance, and make promotion and assignment decisions that are preferable to women and minorities, and to the exclusion of White men.”

Race-Based Quota System Exposed in Department

The white officers allege that since Theetge became chief, she implemented a race-based quota system for promotions, particularly to the rank of lieutenant, prioritizing women and racial minorities over qualifications and merit. Despite a 2021 federal court ruling that the department could not use race or sex-based quotas, the discriminatory practices allegedly continued under her leadership, creating a hostile work environment for white male officers.

$95,000 Settlement Proves Pattern of Anti-White Bias

Earlier in 2025, Cincinnati paid a $95,000 settlement to a white police officer who sued over derogatory comments made about white people by her supervisor and colleagues. Attorney Zack Gottesman, representing the four suing officers, stated there are “multiple incidents” where the city and police department engaged in “blatant discrimination against white males,” demonstrating a systematic pattern of racial bias under Theetge’s leadership.

Chief Refuses to Explain “Context” of Mob Violence

During her press conference, Theetge repeatedly claimed social media videos lacked “context” but refused to explain what context could possibly justify a mob stomping a man and knocking out a woman with a haymaker punch. Her deflection tactics mirror the same anti-white bias she’s accused of implementing in her department, where she apparently believes there are acceptable reasons for violence against white victims while protecting criminals from accountability.
