Tim Burchett Says “Deep State” Is Blocking Trump’s Push for UFO Disclosure

Republican Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett is accusing what he calls the “deep state” of obstructing efforts to release government information about unidentified flying objects and unidentified anomalous phenomena, commonly known as UFOs and UAPs. The Tennessee Republican also described an encounter in which a staff member allegedly suggested that even the president could be restricted by “need-to-know” rules. “I’m in a security hearing, and a little punk with a man bun tells me that the president’s on a need-to-know basis,” Burchett said. “Now, what world am I living in?” He characterized Washington’s secrecy as a product of institutional power, control and arrogance.
