A Trump family source told the New York Post that agents are “certainly not letting Tiger Woods—even without the DUI” drive the kids.

The insider added there would be “concern if their kids weren’t being protected by Secret Service.”

The Trump family reportedly feels relieved that trained Secret Service agents, rather than Woods, handle transportation for the grandchildren.

The policy stems from security protocols for protected family members during President Trump’s second term, which runs through 2029.

Woods’ latest incident occurred when he attempted to overtake a truck and trailer at high speed on a residential road, clipping the vehicle and causing his SUV to flip onto its side.

After exiting through the passenger window, Woods refused to provide a urine sample and was arrested on charges including DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

He was released after about eight hours in custody.

Neither Vanessa Trump nor any of the grandchildren were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

This marks Woods’ second known DUI; he was previously arrested in 2017 after being found slumped in his car with multiple drugs in his system.

He was also involved in a serious 2021 rollover crash in California that shattered his right leg, requiring multiple surgeries.

President Trump, who awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019, commented on the incident: “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident, and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine. He’s an amazing person, an amazing man. But some difficulty.”

Vanessa Trump was reportedly waiting for Woods when he returned home from jail, and sources indicated she was disappointed and upset, viewing the arrest as a “red flag.”

The couple began dating around March 2025, with their relationship first publicly reported by the Daily Mail.

Secret Service protection for the president’s immediate family, including adult children and grandchildren in certain contexts, provides round-the-clock security.

The agency has declined to comment on specific protective operations.

Reports emphasize that the driving restriction predates the latest arrest and reflects broader safety and security considerations.
