India contributed another 12 percent, or about 958,000 people, while the Middle East added 8 percent, or roughly 690,000 people, and China contributed 7 percent, or about 621,000 people.

An earlier Center for Immigration Studies report, examining the period between March 2022 and March 2024, found the foreign-born population grew by 5.1 million people in just two years, calling it the largest two-year increase in American history.
