Republicans Introduces Bill to Designate Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Organization, Bolstering Trump’s Security Agenda

On July 16, 2025, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy, introduced the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2025, a hard-hitting bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).
