KISS rock legend Gene Simmons delivered a blistering, no-nonsense takedown of leftist Hollywood elites, bluntly telling high-profile celebrities like Ben Stiller and Mark Ruffalo to “shut the f— up” about politics and get back to entertaining the American people.
In a candid street interview with TMZ on March 10, 2026, the 76-year-old Demon from KISS laid down the law when pressed about actors and comedians injecting their partisan opinions into national debates—especially amid fresh criticisms of President Trump’s decisive actions against Iran.
“Basically, shut the f— up. Do your art and shut up. Nobody’s interested in their opinions,” Simmons fired off, making it clear the rule applies across the board—including to himself. “That includes me, who I vote for, who I like.”

He zeroed in on Ben Stiller, who had publicly whined about the White House using a clip from his movie Tropic Thunder in a montage highlighting U.S. military success, demanding its removal and labeling it “propaganda.”
Simmons also roasted Mark Ruffalo—jokingly calling him “Mark Buffalo”—for his nonstop leftist activism and anti-Trump rants that flood social media and interviews.
With trademark bravado, the rocker mocked the notion that Hollywood types are somehow qualified sages: “Everybody in the world should listen to what actors and comedians say, because they’re so qualified.”
He drove home a point that resonates with hardworking conservatives everywhere: “People in America work hard for their living, and they don’t want to be lectured to by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces.”

“It’s time for everybody in the entertainment industry to shut their piehole and just do your art. Nobody cares what you think,” Simmons added, delivering a message millions of fed-up Americans have been waiting to hear.
