Tomi Lahren has never been shy about her support for President Trump’s immigration agenda, but the Fox News host and Outkick personality made headlines recently for turning her frustration on the very administration she has long championed, arguing it simply is not deporting enough illegal immigrants fast enough.

She spent a recent co-hosting segment blasting the administration after DHS touted that it had deported 356,389 illegal immigrants so far in fiscal year 2026. Rather than celebrate the figure, Lahren tore into it.

We need your opinion
Does the record-high foreign-born population (over 50 million) represent a serious problem that demands stronger immigration enforcement?

“I, for the life of me, can’t figure out why DHS is flexing over 350,000 deportations in nearly a year,” Lahren said. “That doesn’t sound like mass deportations to me, in any sense of the word.”

She went further on her podcast, Tomi Lahren is Fearless, dedicating an entire episode to what she called the infuriating pace of removals under the current administration.

Her core argument centers on scale. Lahren said deportation numbers need to speed up immediately to counter the millions of people she says flooded into the country during President Biden’s term.

She also raised concerns about how the numbers are being calculated in the first place. Lahren questioned whether border turnbacks were being counted alongside genuine interior enforcement actions, essentially accusing officials of fudging the statistics to make the numbers look more impressive than they are.

“When someone crosses the border and they say ‘No, No, No, go back.’ They count that as a deportation, or an arrest,” Lahren explained, arguing that conflating turnbacks with the removal of people who have been living inside the country illegally for years overstates the progress being made.

Lahren did not stop at deportation numbers. She also called for a crackdown on businesses that continue employing illegal immigrants for cheap labor, arguing it undermines the America First promise that got Trump elected in the first place.

“I thought this administration stood for America First and the American worker,” Lahren said, adding as a Trump voter she does not care if large corporations lose access to cheap illegal labor as a result of stronger enforcement.

This is not a one-time outburst. Lahren has been consistent in recent weeks about her frustration with the pace of enforcement, even as she maintains support for the broader goals of the administration’s immigration policy.

Earlier in July, Lahren questioned on social media why conservatives should even bother voting Republican in the midterms, writing that mass deportations are not happening and that DHS leadership would rather appease CNN and MSNBC.

“Republicans won’t pass Save America, they won’t support the mass deportations we voted for. They haven’t done, frankly, jack shit outside of a tax cut extension,” Lahren wrote, a blunt assessment from one of the party’s most visible media allies.

She has separately warned that the immigration fight could cost Republicans the midterms outright, suggesting frustrated conservative voters may simply stay home in November if enforcement does not pick up.

To be clear, Lahren has not wavered on the underlying policy goal. She remains a vocal advocate for removing illegal immigrants from the country, particularly those with criminal records, and has praised border czar Tom Homan directly.

Lahren said she is a big fan of Homan, even as she criticizes the broader pace of enforcement under his watch, suggesting her frustration is aimed more at bureaucratic execution than at the administration’s stated intentions.

She has also used her platform to highlight successes when she sees them. She recently hosted former Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino, who told her he has no regrets about aggressive enforcement operations and said he wishes agents had gone even harder.

Bovino told Lahren he wished he could have arrested 99 million of the 100 million illegal aliens he believes are still in the country, underscoring just how far some in the enforcement community believe the country still has to go.
