BREAKING: The FBI Has Secretly Seized Massive Trove of Records

The FBI has secretly seized a massive trove of election records from Maricopa County, Arizona, as part of an expanding criminal probe into suspected irregularities.

This move, reportedly kept under wraps by federal authorities, signals what some Republicans describe as a major development in efforts to examine claims of election issues in the key battleground state.

President Donald Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social, writing, “Great!!!” and suggesting the investigation could bring renewed attention to concerns about the 2020 election.

Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen confirmed the seizure, stating he complied with a federal grand jury subpoena late last week for records tied to the Arizona Senate’s audit of the county’s 2020 election.

“The FBI has the records,” Petersen said on X, confirming that federal authorities are now in possession of the materials.

According to reports, investigators obtained large amounts of electronic election data, potentially including digital ballot images and related files connected to both the 2020 and 2024 elections.

The investigation is tied in part to the Republican-led Arizona Senate audit conducted after the 2020 election.

That review raised concerns about signature verification procedures and other administrative issues involving mail-in ballots.

Some critics of the county’s election management have pointed to Maricopa County’s heavy reliance on mail-in ballots as a potential vulnerability, particularly during the expanded voting procedures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and has a population exceeding four million residents, was central to the closely contested 2020 presidential race in Arizona.

Additional allegations have drawn attention from investigators, including claims from election observers who reported seeing both blank and completed absentee ballots stored in the same warehouse area during the 2024 election cycle.

Photographs circulating online reportedly show ballot storage facilities that handle materials from multiple jurisdictions.

U.S. Representative Abe Hamadeh has also spoken publicly about election concerns in Arizona, tying them to broader criticisms of how elections have been conducted in the state.

Hamadeh previously raised these issues with federal officials and has called for a deeper investigation into election procedures.

The investigation comes as Trump and several Republican lawmakers continue pushing for stricter election security measures.

Among those proposals is the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections and limit certain forms of mail-in voting.

Some Democrats have criticized the investigation, arguing that it reflects the politicization of federal law enforcement.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes described the probe as an example of what she called the “weaponization” of federal authority.

Meanwhile, House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil said congressional investigators are reviewing election observer reports and working with federal authorities to determine whether election laws were properly followed.

The Maricopa County seizure follows earlier federal investigative activity in Fulton County, Georgia, where authorities have also examined allegations related to election administration.

Sources suggest federal investigators could potentially expand their review to additional jurisdictions if new evidence emerges.
