First Lady Melania Trump delivered a clear and direct statement on April 9, 2026, addressing false claims linking her to Jeffrey Epstein. She stated that she never had any relationship with Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell and denied that Epstein played any role in her meeting President Donald Trump.

Melania explained that she met her husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998. She noted that she and President Trump attended some of the same social events as Epstein over the years only because their circles overlapped in New York City and Palm Beach, which was common in those areas at the time.

The first lady described recent stories tying her to Epstein as mean-spirited attempts to damage her reputation. She said she had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes when their paths crossed and emphasized that she was never involved in any capacity with his activities.

Melania made clear she is not a victim of Epstein and has never been on his plane or visited his island. She addressed a past email exchange with Maxwell as nothing more than a casual, polite reply that should not be taken as evidence of any close friendship.

Instead of focusing only on the rumors about herself, Melania shifted attention to the real victims. She stated that Epstein did not act alone and called on Congress to hold public hearings so that the women harmed by Epstein and his network can testify under oath.

She asked that every woman who wishes to speak be given the opportunity to tell her story in public. She added that their sworn testimony should then be permanently entered into the Congressional Record so the full truth can be known.

This call for transparency aligns with the America First principle that no one, no matter how wealthy or connected, should be shielded from accountability. Conservatives have long argued that the Epstein case exposes serious failures in the justice system where powerful people received special treatment.

The 2008 plea deal that allowed Epstein to avoid serious federal charges remains a clear example of how the system can protect the elite at the expense of vulnerable victims. That deal was approved under the previous administration and shielded many potential co-conspirators.

President Trump has consistently pushed for the full release of Epstein files so Americans can see the complete record without political interference. Melania’s statement supports that effort by demanding that victims have their voices heard directly rather than through selective leaks or media spin.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer responded positively to the first lady’s request. He indicated that the committee will move forward with public hearings for willing victims once current work is completed.

Many conservatives view this as the right approach. Sunlight and sworn public testimony are the best way to cut through rumors and ensure real justice. Partial document releases and closed-door sessions have left too many questions unanswered for too long.

The Epstein scandal highlights the dangers of unchecked influence among the ruling class. For years Epstein operated with apparent protection from institutions and individuals who should have acted sooner. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted, but many others in the network have still not faced full scrutiny.

Melania’s decision to speak out directly puts an end to baseless speculation about her own involvement. By denying any meaningful ties and clarifying how she met her husband, she removes herself from the story and redirects focus to the victims who deserve answers.

This straightforward denial matches the no-nonsense style that voters supported when they returned President Trump to office. It rejects the media-driven narratives that often target conservative figures with unproven claims while ignoring broader accountability.

Public congressional hearings would allow victims to place their experiences on the official record. This would give the American people the chance to hear facts directly instead of filtered versions from partisan sources.

Some survivors have welcomed the call for public testimony, while others have expressed concerns. The important point is that those who want to speak should have the platform under oath so their words carry legal weight.

The first lady’s statement comes as the Department of Justice continues releasing more Epstein documents. Millions of pages are now public thanks to efforts under the Trump administration, though full transparency remains the goal.

Conservatives have warned for years that moral decay and protection of the powerful would lead to scandals like this one. The Epstein case shows what happens when elites operate above the rules that apply to everyone else.

Melania Trump has generally avoided day-to-day political commentary during the second term. Her choice to address these rumors shows the personal cost of repeated false attacks and her commitment to setting the record straight.

By demanding victim testimony, she reinforces the basic conservative belief that justice requires truth and accountability. Victims of serious crimes should not be silenced or used as political props.

House Republicans have signaled they will follow through on hearings. Some bipartisan interest has also emerged, though the driving force for full openness has come from the right.

The Epstein files have revealed how money and connections can delay justice for years. The 2009 escape plan email that surfaced recently is another reminder of the mindset that treated accountability as something to be avoided rather than accepted.
