The truth about January 6th has never been fully told to the American people.

That has been the contention of conservative commentators, defense attorneys, and whistleblowers for years — and now, in a development that should send shockwaves through the political establishment, President Trump himself has amplified a sworn whistleblower testimony that makes the case in devastating, on-the-record detail.

An FBI whistleblower says that thousands of hours of January 6th footage was hidden because federal “human sources” were in the crowd, and that Deep State agents were ordered to manufacture charges against January 6 defendants.

The testimony was amplified by Trump, who reposted the explosive video on social media.

The implications are staggering: if accurate, they suggest that the government’s own narrative about January 6th was built on a foundation of deliberate concealment.

FBI officials were concerned that footage from inside the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, would show undercover agents and confidential informants, a whistleblower said in testimony.

George Hill, a retired supervisory intelligence analyst who worked out of the FBI’s Boston field office, recounted that the bureau’s Washington field office pressured officials in Boston to open investigations on 138 people who attended a rally on Jan. 6, 2021, even though there were no indications the people had violated the law.

Boston officials pushed back, saying they would need evidence — such as footage of individuals inside the Capitol — to open investigations.

“Happy to do it. Show us where they were inside the Capitol, and we’ll look into it,” one official was quoted as saying.

“We can’t show you those videos unless you can tell us the exact time and place those individuals were inside the Capitol,” Washington Field Office officials responded.

Hill said Boston officials questioned why they couldn’t get access to the tranche of some 11,000 hours of footage from inside the Capitol.

“Because there may be — may be — undercover officers, or confidential human sources, on those videos whose identity we need to protect,” Washington-based officials responded.

In other words, the FBI’s own officials acknowledged that the reason the footage was being withheld was not evidence preservation or procedural protocol — it was to protect the identities of federal operatives who were inside the building.

Hill recounted the discussions during testimony to the U.S. House’s Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

The clip from the testimony was played during a hearing and detailed in a report the panel released based on whistleblower disclosures.

This was not anonymous hearsay or internet speculation — this was sworn testimony from a credentialed law enforcement professional before a duly constituted congressional committee.

When the DOJ admits to 26 undercover operatives working inside the crowd that day, they do not include the many dozens or hundreds of “cutouts” who were operating inside the enormous crowd that day.

This number also does not include the operatives from several other government agencies who were inside the crowd on January 6.

FBI agents who had infiltrated the crowd of Trump supporters on January 6 were present throughout.

The FBI later admitted they lost track of how many operatives they had embedded in the crowds that day.

Newly declassified FBI memos reveal that the Bureau ran a secret “J6 Tabletop Exercise” in the summer of 2020 — months before the Capitol event — that planned for “mass prosecutions” and “embedded informants.”

We now know, thanks to whistleblower reports and congressional oversight, that there were informants embedded in the crowd on January 6.

House Judiciary Republicans sent a letter in 2023 that includes transcribed testimony from former Assistant Director-in-Charge of the Washington Field Office, Steven D’Antuono.

D’Antuono testified that the FBI had numerous confidential human sources in the Trump crowd on January 6.

In fact, they had so many FBI operatives in the crowd that they had no idea how many were actually there that day.

A whistleblower has also revealed alarming directives from FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate, who allegedly urged agents to conceal the identities of January 6 informants, reportedly saying it would be “too embarrassing” for the agency to tell the truth to Americans.

If that account is accurate, it suggests that the concealment of this information was not merely procedural — it was a deliberate decision made at the highest levels of the FBI’s leadership.

As has been documented across dozens of reports, federal operatives and informants were present and in some cases actively involved in the events of January 6th, with over 20 confirmed incidents involving federal agents, FBI assets, and state operatives leading or participating in the chaos.

The numbers kept growing while the establishment media screamed “mostly peaceful” and “insurrection.”

The January 6th narrative, as peddled by Democrats and their allies in the media, has always rested on a carefully curated selection of evidence.

Millions of Americans watching the coverage that day and in the weeks that followed saw the footage chosen by the January 6th Select Committee — footage selected specifically to support a predetermined conclusion.

What they did not see was the 11,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage that the FBI acknowledged existed but refused to release in full.

For the hundreds of Americans who were prosecuted, many of whom received significant prison sentences for what amounted to trespassing, the existence of this hidden footage raises agonizing questions about whether exculpatory evidence was deliberately withheld.

Defense attorneys representing January 6 defendants fought for years to gain access to the full body of Capitol footage, with many reporting systematic obstruction from prosecutors.

FBI Director Chris Wray testified to Congress that the FBI had not deployed undercover agents into the crowd on January 6th — testimony that has since been directly contradicted by the government’s own court filings and whistleblower accounts.

The D.C. FBI Field Office confirmed that undercover officers, confidential informants, and FBI assets were present at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, despite Wray’s testimony to the contrary.

The Trump administration defended its actions, stating through the Justice Department:

“We are proud to reverse the DOJ’s weaponization under the Biden administration. We will do everything in our power to make whole those who were persecuted for political purposes.”

That framing — “weaponization” — is one that resonates powerfully with conservatives who watched as the full power of the federal law enforcement apparatus was deployed against Trump supporters while antifa and BLM rioters who burned courthouses and attacked police stations faced minimal legal consequences.

On his first day back in the White House, President Trump granted clemency to all of the January 6 defendants, recognizing that the prosecutions had been tainted by political bias from the start.

But the question of accountability — for those within the FBI and DOJ who orchestrated and concealed the use of federal operatives — remains unresolved and demands answers.

The whistleblower’s testimony fits a broader pattern of revelations about the FBI’s conduct in the years surrounding 2020 and 2021.

Congressional investigations have revealed systematic political bias within the bureau, including efforts to suppress information about the Biden family’s business dealings, coordinate with social media companies to censor conservative speech, and target parents protesting at school board meetings as potential domestic terrorists.

The January 6th footage scandal follows a well-established playbook: federal investigators collect enormous volumes of evidence, strategically release only the portions that support the narrative they wish to construct, and classify or withhold anything that complicates the story.

Americans who have been paying attention have seen this pattern repeat itself across multiple major controversies — from the Russia collusion investigation to the Hunter Biden laptop story.

The consequences of the FBI’s conduct go beyond the individual defendants who were prosecuted.

January 6th was used as a political cudgel for years — cited by Democrats to justify everything from domestic terrorism legislation to the targeting of Trump as an insurrectionist.

If the full picture shows that federal operatives were present, that their activities were concealed, and that charges were manufactured, then the entire political edifice built on that day’s events begins to crumble.

President Trump reposted the whistleblower testimony video prominently on social media, bringing the bombshell revelation to the attention of his tens of millions of followers.

It was a signal that the days of one-sided January 6th narratives are over — and that the full truth, however inconvenient it may be for the political establishment, will be brought to light.

The question now before the American public is simple but profound:

If the government concealed 11,000 hours of footage from a supposedly historic national event, what else has been hidden?

What other narratives have been manufactured, what other defendants have been railroaded, and what other abuses of power have been carried out under the cover of official silence?

Congressional Republicans have vowed to continue investigating these matters, with the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government promising additional hearings and subpoenas.

The goal, they say, is not simply to relitigate January 6th but to expose the systemic abuses within federal law enforcement that made such a cover-up possible in the first place.

For the men and women who were prosecuted, many of whom lost their jobs, their savings, their freedom, and their reputations in the years following January 6th, the whistleblower’s testimony offers the first real hope of public vindication.

The truth, as it so often does, appears to have been hiding in plain sight — behind 11,000 hours of footage that the FBI was too embarrassed to show the world.

The legacy of January 6th is still being written.

But the emerging evidence strongly suggests that the narrative Americans were sold — of a spontaneous insurrection by radicalized Trump supporters — was, at best, dramatically incomplete, and at worst, a carefully managed deception engineered by the very institutions charged with protecting the republic.

The FBI owes the American people answers.

And the American people deserve the full tape.
