It is a phenomenon playing out quietly across the country, in living rooms and on playgrounds, wherever the abstractions of campus feminism collide head-on with the concrete responsibilities of building a family, and the collision, more often than not, produces a conservative.

Wilson’s central thesis is as simple as it is explosive: the feminist movement, as it has been practiced and preached for the last half century, did not arise organically from the genuine desires of women.
